Looking for a custom tumbler or an engraved leather accent piece? One of last year’s REV winners has all the goods to make your special item unique. Read our personal follow up conversation with local business 2019 recipient, Meghan Morge at C & P Custom Printing, to see where they are now!
What was the REV experience like for you?
The REV experience was exciting and rewarding. It was fun to be able to dream big about what we would do with additional funding and to share that dream with the panel. While we were nervous, naturally, we genuinely enjoyed sharing our business with the judges and answering their questions.
How did the funding help your business?
With the funding, we were able to purchase a tunnel dryer. This freed up some funds that had been set aside for a tunnel dryer which we were able to redirect towards other equipment. The dryer and other equipment has allowed us to complete orders faster, and with more consistency. It has permitted us to be more time efficient and allowed us to expand on our offerings.
What are some new things happening in your business now?
In 2020, we added laser engraving and personalization to our suite of offerings. We are now able to do a wider variety of apparel, signage, awards, drinkware and other gifts. We have also added masks to our sublimation offerings, which means we can offer fully personalized, photo quality masks to help keep our community safe.
How has COVID-19 effected your business?
Like most businesses, we have felt the effects of COVID-19. Many of our larger orders are for local sports teams and organizations. When those entities were forced to cancel their seasons, those orders were cancelled as well, in some cases leaving us holding on to specialty inventory. We are hoping to be able to use those items next season.
However, we have also been lucky to have been able to be a part of unique celebrations when people chose to shop local for signs and merchandise. We have enjoyed creating signs and gifts for graduations, retirements, birthdays and anniversaries. In a time of social distance, it has been really rewarding to be able to help people celebrate and connect.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
We would like to thank the DeWitt County community for their participation in our Shop Local promotion.

During the first three competitions the bank awarded $30,000 to winners. Last year's winners included C & P Custom Printing - $5,000, K & K Graphics - $3,000 and The Yoga Space - $2,000.
